I would like to thank all of our friends and clients for all your prayers and support during my recovery. I continue to improve and am looking forward to riding as soon as the snow stops flying!

Because of Roper's death, and my own health problems, I sold all of my pregnant broodmares last year. Which is why there will be no 2008 foals. Also, I sold all the mules that I was willing to sell at this time. Now the good news is, that I have some clients with "Lonesome" mules, out of their own good gaited mares, that are now being offered for sale! There are many nice gaited mules going well under saddle. Don't miss this opportunity as mules like this are in great demand and will go fast.

With help from friends and family, I have been able to start shipping "Lonesome" semen so if you are planning to breed your mare this year, go to the "Breeding Information" page and print off the required forms, get in touch with us and we will be happy to help you get the mule of your dreams!

This year Lonesome is
Sweet Sixteen and never been better!

Marie's story

I have been working with the American Gaited Mule Association in building a web site and it is up! This is going to be a great place to advertising your gaited mules for sale, find gaited mules to buy, and just find out what is going on in the industry. So take a look at the AGMA web site.

Happy Trails!

What is a gaited mule?
 The American Gaited Mule Association

A gaited mule is any mule that has a smooth gait other than a walk, and one which is distinct from a trot. Some gaits are; single-foot, fox-trot, rack, running walk, stepping pace, paso fino, and other smooth gaits, whatever you might call them.
Whatever the gait may be called, its primary virtue is smoothness. The gaited mule (or horse, for that matter) can be ridden farther without discomfort from the bouncing one experiences at a trot, and at a more manageable pace than a canter. A gaited mule is great for trail riding, for obvious reasons.

Mission Statement
Since the beginning of R&M, our purpose has been to raise naturally gaited saddle mules of good conformation and superior temperament and to promote the gaited saddle mule. In honor of my husband's memory, I will continue to do this and raise the type of mule that he loved and that have made R&M a success in the mule industry.
